I developed a love for traveling at a tender age. I give all credit to my step-father, whom has always had a love for traveling. Traveling gave me experiences that I’ll cherish for a lifetime. It taught me lessons that couldn’t be seen from a different person’s perspective in a classroom, only my own. It helped foster a love for history, as well as an appreciation for architecture, landscape, culture, food, and art. Traveling has also helped me broaden my perspective, value the things that are often taken for granted, and generally taught me what textbooks could not.
Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living. – Mary Ritter Beard
My step-father may had gifted me the love for traveling, but it was my mother that taught me the value of a dollar as a child. Traveling and saving money both go hand-in-hand since traveling can be an enriching, yet costly experience. Understanding the importance of the value of a dollar can help you save hundreds, or even thousands of dollars in the long run! One of my favorite ways of stretching out my traveling budget is taking advantage of hotel rewards programs like IHG Share Forever Rewards.
My family and I are looking forward to the summer since we have many fun-filled adventures that await us! One place that we’re hoping to visit is Portland, Oregon. I also wouldn’t mind visiting New Orleans again. There was too much territory that was left unexplored when I visited New Orleans last summer, especially after I hyperextend my left leg from all of the walking I did!
How IHG Share Forever Rewards Works
– Register Now now to get started.
– Earn 500 Points for your next IHG hotel stay between May 1 – September 2, 2015.
– Earn another 500 points for that same hotel stay to share with another member! You can also keep the points for yourself.
– Earn from 68,500 to 115,500 “Share Forever” bonus points plus a maximum 58,500 bonus points to share, or keep.
I just registered at shareforever.ihg.com. I plan on sharing my reward points with my best friend, whom has a love for traveling, too!
Who would you share your points with, and what is one place you’re looking forward to visiting this summer?
I think this is such a great idea. I love this because I can share my points, OR I can double up. That’s so cool.
We have a few trips planned this summer, so we are looking forward to those. Then we have Disney coming up in November 🙂
We are planning Disney in the fall too! 🙂 The youngest is waiting for Santa to bring us tickets but I think Elf will deliver them a little sooner.

I’m going to check this program out! I would share my points with a friend. We’re going to Cedar Point this weekend and probably the beach this summer.

I love that you can share the reward points! I may not travel enough to earn enough points but I can help someone else with theirs. Love this idea!
I travel frequently so I could definitely take advantage of this. I have some fun trips coming up soon!

This sounds like a rewards program my sister would so love to have indeed. Her and her husband travel a few times a year and stay in hotels etc. I will have to share this with her for sure. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t stay at hotels much as it is expensive to travel with 7 kids. I’ll definitely have to keep this in mind if we do need to stay in hotels.
I am a member and I love it. So many great places where you can use the points!
