It isn’t always the easiest feat gathering friends and family for the holidays and special occasions due to busy, conflicting schedules. Every now and then we all have to temporarily put our busy schedules on the back burner and just have fun! In this case, maybe you have already heard of or celebrated “Galentine’s Day” in the past. If not, Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) in Parks and Recreation made this Pre-Valentine’s Day occasion popular 5 years ago in the second season’s 16th episode and she explained it best: “Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and boyfriends at home, and we kick it breakfast style. It’s ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair minus the angst. Plus, frittatas.”
The females in my life didn’t kick this “Galentine’s Day” off breakfast style, but we did kick it off Shari’s Berries style to help celebrate our friendship and kinship! Shari’s Berries generously sent Two Full Dozen Gourmet Dipped Premium Strawberries ($59.97), Chocolate Velvet Boule Cake ($54.99), and English Toffee ($24.99).
Not only “Galentine’s Day” is the perfect way to catch up with each other while nibbling on succulent sweets, but you can also have a game or/and movie night by watching chick flicks. Just steer clear away from The Best of Me, unless you have at least five boxes of Kleenex on standby.
As you can see, cakes don’t ship easily without getting messed up in the process. However, this didn’t sacrifice the deliciousness of the Chocolate Velvet Boule Cake. The Chocolate Velvet Boule Cake is a chocolate glazed cake in shape of a dome. Inside, it’s filled with a velvety chocolate mousse!
