My son, 8, first started wearing glasses last year after his teacher informed me that he was experiencing issues at seeing what was written on the chalkboard. I couldn’t believe how expensive prescription glasses for children are, but I knew that they are a necessary expense since I didn’t want anything to hinder him from learning at school. I also had to pay extra to have transition lens since he has inherited my photophobia (light sensitivity).
Since he’ll be starting a fresh school year next week, I visited JCPenney Optical since they’re running a back-to-school promotion on kids’ designer prescription glasses. Between now and September 15th, kids’ designer prescription glasses that are valued up to $120 can be purchased for only $29.99! This offer entails free impact and scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses, UV protection, and a protection for children 16 and under. My son also “inherited” my absentmindedness, so I knew it wouldn’t hurt to have a back-up pair, especially at such an affordable price!
My son wanted another pair of eyeglasses that had camouflage print. Even though JCPenney Optical has an extensive selection for children, they didn’t have that particular style. Therefore, my son opted for a bronze pair by Arizona (style#: AZC 219) that were accented with green (his favorite color) on the sides. I got a phone call on Tuesday that they were ready. My son and I couldn’t be more pleased with his selection!

Those are cute glasses! We just found out my 8 year old son needs glasses. I didn’t think about JCPenney optical but we’ll check it out tomorrow!
Those are supercute glasses. I love the green and he looks wonderful in them.
with a history in the family of eye issues we are looking at the same problems you face in your family.. As for JC Penney I shop there all the time and have for years so this gift card could not be better especially now school season is here
I was wondering if this sale was still going on after hearing someone else mention it. Wth five children in glasses this would provide us with significant savings! May I ask how much JC Penney charges for eye exams?

I’m honestly not sure since my son doesn’t have to get another exam for awhile since he got one last year. Also, the one I went to is no longer giving eye exams for some reason. I don’t know if that applies to them all, though.

I’ve never used JC Penny optical department before. I might have to check them next time I need glasses.
This is a great price on glasses. I’ll have to check them out when I’m ready for a new pair of glasses.
