My son, 8, first started wearing glasses last year after his teacher informed me that he was experiencing issues at seeing what was written on the chalkboard. I couldn’t believe how expensive prescription glasses for children are, but I knew that they are a necessary expense since I didn’t want anything to hinder him from learning at school. I also had to pay extra to have transition lens since he has inherited my photophobia (light sensitivity).
Since he’ll be starting a fresh school year next week, I visited JCPenney Optical since they’re running a back-to-school promotion on kids’ designer prescription glasses. Between now and September 15th, kids’ designer prescription glasses that are valued up to $120 can be purchased for only $29.99! This offer entails free impact and scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses, UV protection, and a protection for children 16 and under. My son also “inherited” my absentmindedness, so I knew it wouldn’t hurt to have a back-up pair, especially at such an affordable price!
My son wanted another pair of eyeglasses that had camouflage print. Even though JCPenney Optical has an extensive selection for children, they didn’t have that particular style. Therefore, my son opted for a bronze pair by Arizona (style#: AZC 219) that were accented with green (his favorite color) on the sides. I got a phone call on Tuesday that they were ready. My son and I couldn’t be more pleased with his selection!
