It’s almost unbelievable that the month of October flew by seemingly in the blink of an eye! So, here we’re now in the beginning of November, and the weather is beginning to get chillier by the second. Even though I’m not particularly fond of the chilliness, this doesn’t sway my love for autumn. I love fall fashion; cozy sweaters, leggings, and boots. I love it so much that if I had it my way, the only seasons that would exist would be autumn and spring. It’s safe to assume that I don’t have a fondness for winter or summer. Lately, I have been warming up in Rock & Republic and Jennifer Lopez sweaters from Kohl’s.
I was hesitant about trying on the Rock & Republic Tiger Embellished Sweater at first, because I accidentally received a size smaller than I normally wear. I was pleasantly surprised that it fitted perfectly, but this shows that their sizes run big. That isn’t always the case with designer clothing since they usually run small. I love, love, love this sweater, and I wear it so much that people are going to start wondering if it’s the only thing I own. 😉

I’ll admit that caftans, also known as kaftans, has never been my thing in the past. Too much fabric, and this usually gives caftans that matronly look. However, if Gena Rowlands in A Woman Under the Influence can wear one like it’s nobody’s business, surely I can too! The Jennifer Lopez Solid Caftan Sweater took me from the security of my warm and cozy comfort zone. Admittedly, prior to this, I wouldn’t have given this sweater a second glance, but I quickly warmed up to it once I tried it on. It is simple, yet undeniably voguish, and the buttons on the sleeves add a nice touch. I paired the caftan sweater with a comfortable pair of leggings, Jennifer Lopez Lace-Up Booties (Available in Black or White; $60.99), and a Tova necklace that I received eons ago. The Jennifer Lopez Lace-Up Booties certainly ramps up the fashion ante with a stand-out style!

The Jennifer Lopez Solid Drop-Tail Hem Top ($21.99; Available in Aquifer, Electric Magenta, or Black) is another top that lured me away from my comfort zone. It may look simplistic at a first glance, but it features a beaded accent along the neckline that makes it anything but simplistic. The long sleeves also has buttoned cuffs, the soft, silky fabric gently caresses the skin, and there is a pleat in the back that gives this blouse a delightful touch of elegance.

After wearing the other two Rock & Republic shirts, I didn’t expect anything but the best in style and comfort with the Rock & Republic Skull Flocked Sweatshirt ($37.50). The sweatshirt is uniquely beautiful, and it’s so intricately designed that the skulls aren’t noticeable right off. It’s cute without coming across as being macabre or grotesque, in the least.
