Since 1989, women around the World have been choosing Natracare high quality, organic and natural feminine hygiene products with confidence. The comfort of certified organic, 100% cotton next to the skin together with the totally chlorine-free, plastic free biodegradable materials, means that Natracare only leaves a soft footprint on the earth.
After reading Sophie Uliano’s stance on feminine health in “Gorgeously Green” in 2008, I haven’t used conventional tampons and menstrual pads ever since. I learned that most conventional tampons and pads can bring havoc to our health since they’re made of dioxin (a by-product from chlorine bleaching) and asbestos. Since the conventional products are processed with chlorine bleach, it can also pollute our environment when discarded in the landfills.
I have mostly worn cloth pads over the years since I find them to be the most comfortable. I also occasionally wear Jade & Pearls sponge “tampons” from time to time, but it has practically been AGES since I’ve worn an actual tampon until I was introduced to Natracare’s Regular Applicator Tampons. I’ll admit that I was a little apprehensive about trying out their tampons, but my mind was put at ease once I read that their tampons are organic, chlorine-free, and biodegradable.
Unlike previous experiences with tampons, the experience was effortlessly easy and comfortable. Although I have had a good experience with their tampons, I’m still partial to their pads since I have somewhat of a heavy flow. I also received a box of their Cotton Panty Liners, which is something I rarely use unless I’m wearing a sponge “tampon” or the tampons by Natracare.
Overall, Natracare is a brand that I can add to my list of favorites in regards of feminine health care. Since it’s a brand that The Fresh Market, a natural grocery store, carries, I will definitely buy it in the future!
