Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Chadwicks offers updated classics in a multitude of colors and sizes. Best of all: most items are under $60!
Chadwicks features the season’s key trends, from flattering fit and flare dresses in red, heather, charcoal and black for $59.99 to boyfriend cardigans in multiple colors like emerald green, lapis blue and plum spice for $39.99 to solid, plaid and houndstooth blazers for $59.99 and pencil skirts for $39.99 to the ever-popular wedge pumps for $49.99. Most styles are available in misses, petite, women’s and tall.
I’m a girly girl all the way when it comes to fashion. One of the things I have always had a penchant for is dresses. To me, I don’t believe anything exudes femininity any better than a modest yet sexy dress that has a vintage appeal. As Sophia Loren once famously quoted: “A woman’s dress should be like a barbed-wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view.”
I immediately fell in love with the Border Print Dress by Ronni Nicole ($49.99) at first site sight. The colors and the pattern are bold, vivid, and indirectly pay homage to the fun and free-spiritedness of the mod 60s. This wrinkle-free knit dress is made from soft, lightweight, and non-clinging material to ensure a proper and comfortable fit. Some of us may not have Jillian Michaels abs, but this dress is non-clinging with a bold design that will make those body flaws pull a Houdini.
Shoes: Ms. MaryMac “Tange” Pumps – these “one of a kind” shoes were just made for me!
Hat: Kardashian Kollection Floppy Hat – originally $67, I bought this hat for just $7 at Sears.
Sunglasses: I’m unsure of the brand, but I bought them on sale for $8 at Target.
Handbag: Gida Bavari “Kayla” Crossbody Velour Suede ($280)
The Crochet Back Tank Dress ($49.99) is a flattering piece that hugs the figure appropriately without being tight and uncomfortable. Featuring a sweet and simple black bodice, the beautiful crochet detailing on the back and flowing tribal print rayon skirt are the obvious headliners. It’s great to wear for a casual stroll at the park or a night on town with statement accessories, such as a bold cuff and wedges.
Shoes: Carlos Santana “Groove” Parrot Blue Open Toe Suede Platforms Sandals Shoes – Depending on the retailer, these pumps normally retail for $40 – $100, but I bought them at TJ Maxx for $15.
