Soy Delites Candles Review

Share this post:

Their soy candles are handmade with care in Austin, Texas using 100% natural soy wax and cotton wicks. Clean burning and long lasting, Soy Delites Candles are your eco-friendly and healthy candle alternative.

They offer several styles to choose from, including tealights, votives, travel tins, and our signature glasses in a diverse array of alluring scents, like clean and invigorating Ginger Lemongrass or bold and sensuous Sandalwood Amber. At Soy Delites, they strive to make not only incredibly aromatic and clean burning candles, but they hope to give you a visually stunning and beautiful experience.

Soy candles are much better for our health and environment than traditional paraffin candles. Soy candles do not emit the soot. Not only do paraffin candles leave black residue on the containers they were burned in, but prolonged use of these candles can stain your walls, ceilings, curtains or blinds, and even carpets or rugs. Another benefit of soy wax is that it is a biodegradable product. This means it cleans up easily with just soap and warm water. You no longer have to worry about the mess paraffin makes when cleaning up your candle holders.

To date, the EPA (or any other organization) has not conclusively studied the long term health issues that may arise from burning paraffin wax candles compared to burning soy candles. However, the EPA did find organic chemicals and known carcinogens, such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and acrolein in paraffin wax. In addition, Rezaei et al. studied the combustion characteristics of soy, paraffin and beeswax candles, and they concluded that measurable amounts of formaldehyde were detected when burning paraffin candles.

I received a Set of 2 Glass Candles in the scents of my choice, Bergamot and Fruit Explosion. With 75 hours of burning time, these slow-burning candles are a steal if bought as a set since you save save 17%. They also offer 20 different tantalizing fragrances such as Orange Vanilla, Rose, Ginger Lemongrass, Gardenia, Mint, Ginger Sandalwood, Spice, Midnight Fig, etc. I love both scents, because they are both uplifting and livens up the atmosphere. The Fruit Explosion has a beach-ready blend of mango, pineapple, peach, and coconut. You can mentally picture yourself basking in the sun, while sipping on a fruity concoction. The Bergamot is a refreshing and crispy scent of citrus that will drive away the ho-hum winter blues. I’m certainly no stranger to Bergamot since it is used in one of my favorite teas, Earl Grey.
