The Isabella Oliver Autumn Winter 2013 collection focuses on a minimal and relaxed silhouette with unexpected mixes of texture and print providing this season’s direction. Subtle design details have given the collection a luxe finish while effortless jersey pieces and expert tailoring remain true to the understated signature of the brand.
Tailoring has focused upon a graphic simplicity with hues of deep Wine and Ink as well as power mesh trim all touching on this season’s feel for sports inspired finishes. A shimmering depth is injected into the collection with Leopard print sequined jersey in Slate Grey adding a shimmering depth to the stunning styles.
Bolder pieces are balanced by softer elements in the collection, such as the introduction of fine rib jersey in a Wine and Charcoal. Fine knits in Batik Blue, Wine and Charcoal add to this season’s tonal palette, with the flecked Salt and Pepper knit the perfect textural piece for building cozy layered looks. In contrast, the capsule range of printed silk focuses upon softer more relaxed tones, with a fluid, abstract print in soft Copper and Taupe reflecting the season’s signature ease.
An eclectic sensibility emerges in the winter color palette; with a balance being struck between rich and vivid tones against pared back muted shades. Strong tones of Ink Blue, Charcoal and Wine are offset by understated hues of Mink, Sage and winter Orange. Leather has been updated for winter in rich shades of Wine, Slate and Black. The depth of texture in the collection is enriched by unexpected finishes to leather accessories with soft Mink suede, Antique Pewter, patent Cobra and vivid Yellow Ochre seen in an updated tote, clutch and belts.
