I’m not much of a party planner, or a party person, for that matter (feigns a gasp), but I wanted my daughter’s 1st birthday party to be special and memorable. I toyed with the idea of having a baby Minnie Mouse theme, but I personally find that there is nothing more overdone than a character party. Clearly, The Household Helper agrees.
Although Parisian themes are nothing new, they add a sense of refinement and sophistication. Birthday Express generously sent me the Pink Poodle in Paris 1st Birthday Deluxe Party Pack for 8 ($46). The Deluxe Party Pack for 8 includes 8 invitations, an Eiffel Tower centerpiece, dinner plates, dessert plates, 18 balloons (3 colors), curling ribbon (3 colors), crepe paper rolls (3 colors), cone hats, #1 candle, napkins (2 per guest), pink tablecover, cups, forks, and spoons; with the color palette being pale pink, lavender, and dark pink – chic and sophisticated, yet charmingly sweet and playful enough for a baby girl’s 1st birthday! The only thing that was MIA were the cakes candles – oops! However, I didn’t fret since I thought the age candle was good enough. Also, I had the hardest time putting the hats together that I excluded them from the birthday party.
Since Paris is deemed as the City of Love, my son and I made crepe paper roses and scattered them underneath the Eiffel Tower. We also added a pink poodle embellishment (bought at Michaels).
Sold separately, you can also coordinate the Pink Poodle in Paris Party Favor Box ($5 each) with the Pink Poodle in Paris 1st Birthday Deluxe Party Pack (for 8 People; $46 or 16 People; $66). Each favor box contains a Pink Poodle notepad, a Pink Poodle sticker sheet, a 5½” Pink Poodle mini plush, a Pink Poodle charm bracelet and 4 pastel crayons.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
