Just in time for National Zoo and Aquarium Month last month, Jim Henson Company and Penguin Young Readers Group partnered by introducing the latest DINOSAUR TRAIN book, Buddy’s Favorite Trips! This fun and exciting reusable sticker book whisks away young readers to all of Buddy’s favorite stops.
The fun doesn’t stop there, because they also created the Dinosaur Train Discovery Tour, a mobile web-site that was designed to educate (in a fun way) facts about today’s living creatures. It also encourages them to learn more about the relationship between modern day ocean life and animals such as sharks, crabs, turtles, elephants, bats, birds, crocodiles and more, and their prehistoric ancestors.
You can access the mobile website either before, during or after visits to zoos and aquariums to enhance your child’s engagement in paleontology, animal science and natural history. Guides can also be downloaded for families to take with them on their visits too:

On Father’s Day, June 16th, my family and I went to Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden in Evansville, Indiana. We have made it bit of a family tradition by going there every summer. My son always enjoys seeing and learning about the animals.
Disclosure: Jim Henson Company and Penguin Young Readers Group generously sent some Dinosaur Train materials.
