The Willow Store Review

WillowPads began in 2005, by a mother dedicated to providing the best reusable, natural products for women, by women. WillowPads are handmade in Wisconsin.

They strive to offer the highest quality, most sustainable products that are gentle and safe for women, and the earth, all with a heart of supporting their families and the United States.

It is just a matter of time until I will be giving birth. While I can hardly wait to meet my daughter, there’s one other thing that I don’t look forward to, besides the labor, and that is the seemingly endless of bleeding (lochia) for weeks. 6 years ago, I recall having to wear thick, diaper-like pads that the hospital gave me after I gave birth to my son. It was sort of an uncomfortable, embarrassing experience. Thankfully, I will not have to worry about this with the Postpartum Kit ($59.95), because it has 3 reusable long pads that are super-absorbent without feeling like you’re wearing a diaper! I even tried one to know what to expect next month, so I can attest to it being comfortable. Also, they’re much safer than disposables since they’re only made with certified organic fabrics, making it more softer and comfortable; perfect for delicate skin.

Disposables are expensive, especially if you take the time to sit down and figure out the math. Wearing single-use pads costs an average of $120 per year. WillowsPads can save you up to 6 times that, and last an average of six years. Therefore, you’re not letting your money go up in flames. Not only they’re budget-friendly, but they’re also durable and easy to wash. You can easily remove stains by rinsing the pads in cold water or peroxide. Just don’t use any fabric softeners or bleach. To achieve super absorbency with the new pads, wash them 2-3 times before usage.

The Postpartum Kit also includes 4 pairs of WillowSprouts Hemp Nursing Pads, Trial Size Soap Nuts, and Reusable Gift Bag. It is perfect as a baby shower gift and ready to pop into mom’s suitcase for the big day!
