I’m a style obsessed parent, and when I saw the backpacks at Beatrix New York, I knew I wanted one for my son so that he can be different at school. Since my son is 5 years old, and started in kindergarten, I asked for the little kids backpack since it was for ages 2 to 5 years old. The Dieter Backpack ($42) is embroidered with a monkey holding a banana in his hands. It’s seems to be a sturdy little pack, but it isn’t enough height to hold his folders for school. I won’t be able to zip it if I put his folders in. The interior contains a smaller zipped pocket, padded back panel and padded shoulder straps. It’s PVC free, lead free, and phthalate free.
