I recently went to Kohl’s looking for the “IT” bag for the upcoming fall season. Torn between the Simply Vera Vera Wang Stacey Textured Patent Tote, originally $119, on sale for $71.40, and Simply Vera Vera Wang Triple Entry Shopper (Available in Mushroom or White), originally $99, on sale for, $59.40, my indecisiveness caved in for the latter. Why? According to Pantone’s Fall 2013 Fashion Color Report, it’s all about the gray (Deep Charcoal, Mélange Slate, and Heather Gray) for the autumn season, Turbulence, to be exact. Other colors include Emerald, Mykonos Blue, Linden Green, Acai, Samba, Koi, Deep Lichen Green, Vivacious, and Carafe. Turbulence was inspired by Man Ray’s 1924 portrait of Peggy Guggenheim because of its gradient shades. Not only the Vera Vera Wang Triple Entry Shopper comes in the perfect fall-worthy color, but it is also spacious, durable, and comfortable.
As if I don’t have enough shoes already, I couldn’t resist the ELLE™ Peep-Toe Wedge Sandals on sale for $19.97 (normally $69.99). They’re sexy yet comfortable. I can easily vision myself pairing them with a dress, tights, and blazer for a cute but elegant look.
East Meets West – Drawing inspiration from global accents, Kohl’s offers apparel and accessories in a variety of prints and patterns that are sure to stand out this season. Combine prints and textures in unexpected ways, like topping a luxe tee or mix print dress with a faux fur trimmed vest.
