In 2005, I bought countless of baby clothing when I found out that I was expecting my first child. I honestly hate to know how much money I spent on baby clothes. I’ll admit that I overdid it, but I was very excited about having a child. I didn’t realize that half of these clothes would either go to the Goodwill or be sold at yard sales later. Not only this experience taught me that babies grow up fast, but I also learned that blowouts and spit-ups were inevitable. The milk and blowout stains didn’t always come out either. I didn’t know anything about Dreft at the time.
This is why I only let my son wear the outfits that I treasured the most once, which is a Harley Davidson outfit (onesie, scarf-like hat, bib, and blanket) that my brother bought him, and his coming home outfit (pictured above). What made his coming home outfit even more unique and special was that I had a matching one, which was adorned with the word Mommy. Each outfit is in pristine condition since I keep them in a keepsake box that I’ve placed in my trunk.
Fast forwarding to 2012, I didn’t make the same mistake with my daughter like I did with my son. I mainly bought all of the key essentials that she needed for her wardrobe, only buying something irresistibly cute from time to time. It’s hard not to give in at times since it’s so much fun dressing up a girl – ruffles, tutus, hair accessories, bows, lace, and pink.
I do want to keep her coming home outfit in pristine condition, therefore, she can treasure it for years to come. And I can do this with Dreft Laundry Detergent, a brand that has been a household name with moms for over 75 years. It keeps my daughter’s clothes in tip-top shape, and make them smell really good.
Whether you’re a first timer or the greatest, grandest mother of them all, there’s on thing moms have agreed on for over 75 years- Dreft makes your little one’s fabric feel as clean and soft as can be.
