Prize: One winner will receive a Balboa Baby Shopping Cart Cover of their choice (a $50 value).
Shopping carts are rarely sanitized or cleaned, making them a breeding ground for viruses and bacteria, yet this fact is shockingly often ignored. Not only they have the potential of harboring viruses and colds, but they could possibly contain traces of campylobacter, E. coli, salmonella, which be caused by leakage from packages of raw meat and diaper wearing tots. One of the best ways to avoid this is have your own supply of anti-bacterial gel or wipes on hand, which is already provided by some stores.
To keep your toddler from coming in contact with these pesky germs, it is highly recommended to use a shopping cart cover. Some may view you as a germaphobe, but I’ve learned in life that it is always better to play safe rather than to be sorry after everything is said and done. I recall of using a shopping cart cover with my son when he was a baby, and I can honestly say that I don’t ever remember of a day of him getting sick then. I like to think that it helped to play a factor in keeping him from getting sick, even though I know that it isn’t always avoidable for children to get sick, no matter what you do. It does help to be a little careful, though.
I recently received the Balboa Baby Shopping Cart Cover ($50; Available in Lime Poppy, Yellow Floral, Black/White Leaf, Blue Plaid, Red Poppy, Khaki Berry, Brown Berry, Suri, Lola, Pink Floral, Geo, Geo Trim, or Swirl) for my daughter. She’s currently not in the sitting up stage since she’s about 2 months old, so it’s not recommended for her to start using this until she’s at least 6 months old. Once she does, she will play it safe with style!
