Beautiful, Natural Hair with Cara B Naturally

Cara B Naturally is formulated to meet the needs of ethnically diverse babies and children. Their skin and hair products are made with only natural, plant-based ingredients. They never use, nor have the desire to use dangerous chemicals that are commonly found in other children’s products.

Shampoo / Body Wash, $11: I love how well this shampoo lathers without the usage of harsh chemicals, such as phthalates and sulfates. It makes my son’s hair feel soft and squeaky clean without the “raw, stripped” feeling. It also deeply moisturizes his hair, and his hair is beautiful and shiny throughout the day.

On the other hand, I’ve tried it my own hair as well to see how diverse this product was. I have ethnic hair (Cherokee Indian, Caucasian, and African American) as well. However, I didn’t get the same finishing result as my son. It only made my hair feel dry and a bit stripped. This hardly came as a surprise since it’s hard for me to find a shampoo that’s ideal for my hair. The only affordable, ethnic brand that works beautifully for my hair is Shea Moisture.

Moisturizing Hair Mist, $10: This mist provides the right amount of shine, and doesn’t give hair that icky, greasy feeling. It’s great to have tucked in your purse or diaper bag, especially when you’re out and about in this balmy weather, which makes your hair more prone to getting dry and/or frizzy.

Body Lotion, $13: This body lotion will make the skin feel well pampered and moisturized, but I think it’s more ideal if your skin is really, really dry since it is a bit thick and heavy. I found it be a slight trying experience to rub it in real good because of the thickness.

Leave-In Conditioner / Daily Moisturizer, $13: To ensure superior shine and manageability, I highly recommend this leave-in conditioner/daily moisturizer. I’ve found most leave-in conditioners to be a bit too heavy, but this is lightweight, despite it being rich and creamy. It leaves my son’s hair feeling soft and manageable. I’ve tried it on my own hair, and I was very pleased with the finishing result!
