Novica Review

Share this post:

Novica is connected with more than 2,000 extraordinary master artists around the world. You can read about their lives, explore their fascinating cultures, and select from more than 30,000 handcrafted works of art. They have an extensive selection of jewelry, clothing, art, home decor, tapestries, masks and handbags. An artisan story card is included with each purchase.

Novica has such a broad selection that it took me weeks to decide on what to review from them. I tried to avoid the jewelry section much as possible since there were thousands of pieces, but I ended up ordering a necklace anyways. I opted for the Tunic in Exotic White by Catherine Dox ($89.99) and the Long Square Cycles Necklace ($22.95) designed by Joanna and Ketut Darmawan. I’d like to say that I received my order within days, but that wasn’t the case since it took almost 2 weeks since it was shipping out of the country. I was getting slightly worried since I never waited this long for an order, but my worries were all gone once I received my order. The long wait was worth it! The tunic and necklace were both beautifully wrapped in an extraordinary package. So tastefully done that it was like receiving something for my birthday.

The flowy Tunic in Exotic White by Catherine Dox is elegant and buoyant as the image depicts. This tunic can be worn alone, or over pants and leggings. I prefer to wear it with my skinny jeans since it is practically see-through by it being white.

The tunic features long sleeves with slanted cuffs and a graceful hemline. It is adorned with silver patterns on the front, and the sleeves are embroidered by hand with sequins and beads. This particular tunic comes in a bevy of envy-worthy colors such as Exotic Blue ($99.95), Exotic Ivory ($102.95), Exotic Red ($99.95), Exotic Gray ($79.95) and Exotic Brown ($99.95). It would be nice to have all of the colors considering how comfortable and chic these tunics are!

I ordered the Long Square Cycles Necklace to go with my tunic. I like that it doesn’t conflict with the tunic’s hemline since the length of this necklace can be adjusted. I believe that jewelry is meant to be shown instead of hidden. Made with .925 Sterling Silver, this intricately designed necklace features a sterling pendant with hammered textures. It also comes in a beautiful jewelry box that is definitely worth keeping!
