My family and I love to visit the local zoo! Each visit is always different and exciting as from the next because there are always new animals, exhibits, or both. We’ve now made it a family tradition by going there once a year. It’s a wonderful way for my children to see and learn about animals. We also like to venture outside of the familiar territory and visit other zoos, considering that not all of them are the same. •

The only drawback is that our zoo visits are sometimes cut short because of the hot, humid weather that we often experience when we visit in the summer. That is why we were so excited about visiting @LouisvilleZooOfficial while we were in Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend since the autumnal season is the best time of the year to visit the zoo. The weather is cooler, thus making the experience more enjoyable! #hosted •

After losing my dad in March - just seven months after my sister’s passing, I thought the hardest part was behind me. But then, in late November, my family and I were in a severe car accident caused by a young man (drunk driver) going way over the speed limit. While my injuries were minor (neck and upper back injury), my 7-year-old son faced significant challenges, including a lacerated liver, pulmonary contusion, and fractured rib. We were already battling illness at the time. It really made me realize how precious our health and well-being are. Have you been to @HolidayWorld? Opening its doors in 1946, this theme park has evolved over the years with holiday themed sections. Their claim to fame is unlimited soft drinks and a wooden roller coaster. (hosted)

Splashin’ Safari, the water park at #HolidayWorld, spans 40 acres and includes two wave pools, three water coasters, a lazy river, family raft rides, water slides, and provides guests with unlimited free sunscreen on-site.

My family and I had the opportunity to experience their new family coaster, Good Gravy! This first-ever family roller coaster is a 1,500 wild ride that travels you up to 7 stories. Good gravy!

We also had the time of our lives at other popular attractions at the park. We were treated to a complimentary breakfast at their newly opened coffee shop, The Perky Turkey, and enjoyed a catered lunch in the Good Old Days Picnic Grove. To cap off the day, we were among the first to see the new Holidays in the Sky drone show at an exclusive Dessert Party!

Holidays in the Sky will run from June 22nd through Sunday, August 4th.
