Silk is known for their delicious soy milk, but they have outdone themselves with the Fruit & Protein line! Fruit & Protein comes in three tantalizing flavors – Mango Peach, Mixed Berry, and Strawberry Banana. I wasn’t disappointed in the least with any of the flavors. Even my husband and son enjoyed drinking these flavors. This came to me as a pleasant surprise, because both of them don’t really like to try anything new when it comes to food or beverages. I enjoyed Silk even more as a smoothie – a definite treat! Simply add one of the flavors, crushed ice, and frozen fruit in a blender until it is thick and smooth as silk.
The only thing I found disappointing was that I couldn’t find these drinks at Schnucks or Wal-Mart when I first received the coupons, which are my usual go-to places when it comes to grocery shopping. I thought I ran into some luck one day when I found them at The Fresh Market. However, I was sorely disappointed that I wasn’t able to get these beverages for FREE (as stated on the coupons), and they were even on sale! I thought how the store handled the coupons was in poor taste. I will never be shopping there anytime in the future, especially with coupons! Not to mention that place is hideously expensive. The Fruit & Protein line started showing up in various stores shortly after that, including Schnucks and Wal-Mart. Therefore, I will definitely be buying more in the future!
