Many of us are feeling a range of emotions right now as we’re facing an unprecedented situation. It’s affecting everyone and the way we are sailing through our day-to-day lives. Implementing self-care in our daily lives is more crucial than ever. The small things that we do to take care of ourselves can make the most difference when it comes to lowering our stress and improving our overall mental health. There are a variety of ways to implement self-care in your day-to-day life.

Aromatherapy has always been one of my favorite self-care tools. My love for aromatherapy developed as a teenager. It all started with lavender essential oil. I found the smell of lavender to be of the most calming and enchanting scents! Essential oils are now an integral part of my daily life and hardly is there a day that goes by without me using them. Essential oils like frankincense, bergamot, lemon, jasmine, and patchouli are some of my favorites.

I use essential oils for various purposes. I often turn to essential oils as fragrances as Cleopatra did and will apply them on my pulse points. Cleopatra, the Queen of the Nile, favored essential oils like myrrh, rose, cypress, frankincense, and neroli for fragrance. Rose, jasmine, and patchouli are some of my go-to scents. I love the fact that they’re natural as opposed to the slew of the synthetic fragrances that are taking over the beauty market.

When I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I’ll slowly wave an essential oil under my nose or diffuse it. I actually prefer diffusing essential oils over burning candles. They create the same tranquil, inspiring, and beautiful ambiance in the home without me worrying about a potential fire hazard. I even often incorporate essential oils in my beauty, hair care, and household products! Essential oils have been dominating the beauty and wellness industries for years yet mankind has been using them since the dawn of time. Holistic-minded celebrities of today love to use essential oils for various reasons.

Revive Your Hair with Utama Spice Hair Oils

My hair is often prone to dryness and breakage yet it has been seemingly more so than usual. I normally use rosemary oil and avocado oil for my hair, but my curiosity couldn’t help but be piqued by the sound of the Senja Hair Oil. This hair oil is made from pure coconut oil and has a lovely blend of cananga, patchouli, and lavender essential oils. It is deeply rich in moisture, helping bring my hair back to life! Patchouli oil helps promote hair regrowth. Meanwhile, the lavender and cananga oils help ease tension with a calming effect.

The Senja Hair Oil can be used as a hair mask by leaving it on for a few hours or overnight then rinse thoroughly. You can also use this product after shampooing. Just a drop massaged into the hair to help with hydration.
