Check out Beat the Heat with an Icy Cool Treat
One of my fondest memories from my childhood is eating ice pops during the summertime. Nothing came remotely close to beating the muggy, sweltering heat than my refreshingly cool, sugary, colorful, drippy, and sticky goodness from the prepackaged variety. Fudgesicles were the best! My taste buds have taken a different direction over the years, but there is still nothing better than cooling down with an ice pop in the summer. The only thing difference now is that I prefer homemade ice pops opposed to the prepackaged variety.
With homemade ice pops, I love that I have the control of the ingredients that goes in them. Also, I love that I can concoct my own variations or draw inspiration from other foodies on Foodie.com, depending on what I am in the mood for at the moment. Some of the recipes listed on the site that I wouldn’t mind trying include Banana, Hemp, and Salted Dark Chocolate Ganache Popsicles; Vegan Peanut Butter Fudgesicles, White Peach, Nectarine and Rose Water Creamsicles; Green Smoothie Detox Pops, Toasted Marshmallow-Chocolate Popsicles, and Peach Cheesecake Popsicles.
