October has come into a full closure, indicating that the holiday season is upon us – celebratory foods and beverages, bright, sparkling lights; seasonal festivities, the infusion of spiritual cheer and goodwill; and gift planning. Some of the most coveted gifts such as the PS4, iPad 5, Xbox One, or Sony Xperia Z Ultra can’t easily adhere to everyone’s budget.
As cliché it may sound, the truly best gifts come from the heart. Sometimes simple and meaningful speaks more volumes than a gift that is extravagant or expensive. This is why I have always liked homemade gifts, because it shows me that someone put a lot of thought, consideration, and heart into creating a gift. This can include creating a photo coaster, cookie mix in a mason jar, picture frame memory wreath, pumpkin sugar scrub, a portrait of your family on wood (all that is needed is a plain piece of paper, printer, and Mod Podge), or a chalkboard serving platter. Armed with the right materials and a boundless imagination, the possibilities can be endless! I created a Pinterest board that showcases some of my favorite gift ideas.
Since not everyone is crafty, personalized gifts are just as good as homemade gifts. This is where Bright Star Kids come into play. They are well known for their labels, but they’re much more than that since they also offer personalized wall art, banks, backpacks, storage, and clothing, just to name a few out of a varied selection.
