St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated on March 17th for over a thousand of years. Over the years the holiday has been embraced with a multitude of different traditions. The United States hosted the first St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 17, 1972 in New York city. Chicago began dying the Chicago River in 1962 with green vegetable dye. Kansas City created a “Go for the Green” food drive to get people in the Saintly Spirit. This year, create your own tradition by dishing out the coolest green dessert, Magnolia Avocado Ice Cream by California based gourmet food company, Ramar Foods.
Ramar Foods has been at the forefront of tropical ice cream flavor innovation in the American and Canadian market for over 40-years. Magnolia is a California made, all natural, ice cream line which contains only California pasture raised dairy along with whole fruit purees, most of which are grown on small family farms in Southeast Asia. The tropical ice cream flavors include: Mango, Coconut, Lychee, Thai Tea, Avocado and Purple Yam. While all the exotic flavors are delicious, the green Avocado is sure to stand out this St. Patrick’s Day. In addition to Magnolia® Ice Cream, Ramar Foods also produces a delicious range of all-natural single serve novelty milkbars which flavors feature: Azuki Red Bean, Halo Halo, Purple Yam & Red Bean, Coconut, and Mango.
Disclosure: I received a large sampling of their flavors for spotlighting the Magnolia Avocado Ice Cream.
