I consider myself to be a healthy eater. My diet mostly consists of fruits, vegetables, and mock “meat”. Even though I’m not big on sweets, I do have a craving for them every now and then, especially baked goods. I’m not much of a candy person, though, even though I do have a weakness for Twizzlers! I’m a very picky eater, too. I like to try a little bit of everything (i.e. a new hobby), but I’m not so adventurous when it comes to food. My husband and son are the same way.
I love fruit, but I wasn’t for sure if my palate would be pleased with the new Del Monte fruit cup flavors, the Diced Apples & Pears with Caramel Flavor and Diced Pears with Vanilla & Spice. Yet, to my pleasant surprise, they were yummy. Scratch that. Scrumptious would be more of an ideal word to describe how tasteful these fruit cups are.
I’m not much of a caramel lover, but it synced harmoniously with the diced apples. Also, I love that the caramel juice is light. And to be perfectly honest, it’s hard for me to choose a favorite between the two, but they’re both equally good! Best of all, they’re gluten free and do not include high fructose corn syrup. My son is an even pickier eater than I am, but he is quite fond of the Diced Apples & Pears with Caramel Flavor. Most of the time, he doesn’t like what the school menu has to offer, yet on the other hand, it’s almost hard to pack his lunch since he is so picky! Now I’ve found the perfect and healthy snack that he actually likes.
