Favorite Weeknight Meals with Heinz Ore-Ida: Meatless Tater Tot Casserole

I remember when I first started dating then boyfriend, now husband, he mentioned that one of his favorite casserole dishes is Tater Tot Casserole. Much as I love just about anything in the form of potatoes, this didn’t sound appetizing to me, especially since it called for something I normally don’t eat, that is ground beef. My sister-in-law gave me the recipe for it a few months ago, and I was pleasantly surprised how well this dish tasted. I wish I had tried it sooner. I slightly modified the recipe by using a meat alternative instead of actual meat. Each time this casserole dish is fixed, there are hardly any leftovers for the next day or two!

Ingredients:

❏ Boca Ground Crumbles (or 1lb ground beef if you prefer actual meat)
❏ 1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
❏ 1 Bag of Ore-Ida® Tater Tots®
❏ 1 8(oz) Bag of Sharp Cheddar

Step 1: Brown ground crumbles (or ground beef) and drain.

Step 2: Mix cream of mushroom soup, ground crumbles, and about 1/2 bag of sharp cheddar cheese.

Step 3: Layer frozen tator tots on top and sprinkle an ample amount of cheese on top.

Step 4: Preheat oven to 400°F.

Step 5: Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until tots look crisp.
