It’s official that school is back in session, and my son is already enjoying his year so far with new beginnings – new grade, new teacher, new friends, new clothes, new backpack, and new shoes! At his age, I always looked forward to back to school shopping with my mom, because I loved having new clothes, shoes, and accessories. My love for fashion didn’t start until I was in my late teens, and I know that I’ve mentioned before that my son loves dressing up. However, he’s not at a point where he cares about brands, which is good since I am not into labels even though I love fashion. As a child, I never was into labels. You don’t always get what you pay for.
My son is a typical boy, so he can be a little rough on his shoes. Keen sent me the Clayton WP Boots ($70; Available in Shitake/Tawny Olive, Dark Shadow/Purple Heart, Slate Black/Chili Pepper, and Black/Yellow), which will hopefully get my son through the school year since it looks and seems really reliable and durable! It also looks good with just about any outfit that he owns. They seem to be comfortable, because I haven’t heard one negative word from my son, in regards of lack of comfort or anything else for that matter.
The Clayton was made for a boy (or girl) like him, because these boots can endure it all – no matter how aggressive the situation is – muddy trails, pesky puddles, and frozen fields. The dual-climate non-marking outsole has lugs for traction, which is perfect on any surface. They also feature waterproof leather and a waterproof, breathable membrane to ensure that feet are safe and dry.
