Omyst Review

Omyst ($20) is the first clinically demonstrated, organic herbal first-aid spray. Made with organically grown calendula, yarrow, plantain and wild roses, Omyst soothes, speeds healing, kills germs, reduces inflammation and stops bleeding naturally. Unlike a thick, messy ointment, Omyst bathes cuts, scratches, minor burns, insect bites and rashes in a fine mist that dries quickly, allowing wounds to breathe and heal faster. Created by Noreen Mulvanerty, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, PLLC, certified family nurse practitioner and a decades-long healer with expertise in both Eastern and Western medicine, the formula for Omyst is the result of intensive research and clinical trials to ensure the highest degree of safety and effectiveness.

Surprisingly, I haven’t had to use this on my son yet, especially since he is notorious for getting a scrape here or there. He is just as accident-prone as I was at his age. Seems like those days are sneaking back up on me, because I had to use this a couple of times myself. Recently, I accidentally burnt my hand with my flat iron and immediately grabbed for this product to see how well it would work for a minor burn. I was a little surprised that it stung a little, but it was a tolerable sting that lasted for only a few seconds. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the burn healed. It only took a few days to heal, where it would probably would have taken much longer to heal. Therefore, I can easily vouch for it’s effectiveness. However, I believe it’s a bit pricey, considering the size.

Omyst’s four key plant constituents, which have been used for centuries in natural products, contain all the necessary benefits for healing:

• Calendula — a soothing herb with emollient and anti-inflammatory properties

• Yarrow — with anti-fungal properties; demonstrated to have broad-spectrum anti-biotic coverage

• Plantain — an astringent with restorative, styptic and anti-bacterial properties

• Wild Roses — which rejuvenate, soothe and heal.

The one ounce, first-aid-kit-in-a-bottle of Omyst retails for $20 and is available at Omyst.com, as well as pharmacies, spas and tattoo parlors in New York City, surrounding boroughs and throughout Long Island, NY.
